Erin Condren Planner Review

1/5/2018

After having a few months to settle into my new planner, it has been wonderful to have more structure using an hourly layout for each week.

Erincondren.com was running a special at the time I ordered my 2017/2018 planner, which included a complimentary turquoise hardbound journal and painted petals sticker sheet.

Along with the planner launch, I also purchased a planny pack, snap-in StylizedSticky notes™, Coilclip™, Sticky Corner Pockets, and painted petals Compliment Cards. These items have been a big help in keeping me organized and nice surprises to share with others.

This is my second year to use an Erin Condren planner. The vertical layout 2016-2017 planner was my first planner. It was fun to decorate, and I started keeping it as a to do list tracker and memory book for day-to-day activities. For my second planner, I wanted something that would help keep track of my events in an hourly fashion as I found that type of layout was more effective for time management.

Overall, the 2017-2018 planner has a smaller coil, the colors are much more vivid, and the paper quality has greatly improved. This has been my favorite planner so far, and it is one I will stick with going into 2018-2019 when they launch.

The notes page before each month has greatly improved. It is organized better and has a sections to use for goals, to-dos, or budgeting. I have been able to utilize this page each month by creating to-do lists and goal lists.

The weekly spreads have changed slightly, and I like the the changes to the thankful thought box. The hourly view is very simple and easy to use for keeping up with daily tasks. It is a nice set up for planners that have a busy schedule and need this type of structure.

The painted petals snap-in StylizedSticky notes™ have a good sticky quality and stay where you place them compared to previous sticky note dashboards. I enjoy using the flags for important reminders and and the squares to block out a few hours in the weekly view.

The Planny pack is my favorite product that Erin Condren has launched to go with the planners. It has a strap that goes around any book and the pouch is great to carrying pens, notecards, stickers, etc. I like the linen color, and it gives a nice stylish look to my planner. It helps me keep everything organized, and I never lose a pen!

The 2017-2018 Erin Condren LifePlanner™ has been my favorite planner in comparison to the previous 2016-2017 planner. They made great improvements to the overall design and structure. I am definitely sticking with this planner until the end of 2018.

The Drape

4/30/2012

I think Sunday nights should be my blog nights. I have an hour between Celebrity Apprentice and Mad Men to prepare things for the week ahead. It seems to be the best time for me to collect my thoughts for the week.

I have sent off my map for the Art House Library Map Project. It was a fun challenge to create something that represents me in a map.

Map of Pam

I have been trying to just focus my energy on school since I am in finals mode. This means not coming up with more projects to do.

I say this after managing to waste an hour changing my YouTube email address. Do you know how impossible it is to change accounts on YouTube? I should have taken advantage of the link accounts back when they were offering it, but I had no use for it at the time.

I finally found the solution was a new email address for my account, but that’s not really a solution. They should really give the option to merge a Gmail account into another account. Is this even possible?

This little hour of experimentation (we will call it that instead of wasting time because it sounds way better) made me realize how many Gmail accounts I actually have. I do not know why I prefer Gmail, but I think it would be a good idea to use other email services. Who knows what could happen? It’s like having all your money in one bank. Then BOOM gone!

Anyway, now I have another email. How many emails do you have? It’s like you can never have enough to filter out all the junk mail from the serious stuff.

Now you might be asking, but Pam don’t you have a bunch of accounts on your website you can use? Well, yes, the only issue I have ever encountered is the insane amount of spam my web server will produce in my inbox, and I have no idea why. If someone has a solution to that, please let me know.

I am going to finish watching MadMen with my Drape on, and then go study to keep that A grade up until the end of the semester.
