Preview: Erin Condren Planner Review

After making the switch to an Erin Condren Planner last year,  it has become an important asset in my everyday life when planning daily tasks and special events. I started out with the classic vertical coil bound 2016/2017 planner. It is great for writing down reminders and separating out my days; however, I have found myself having a lot of extra space and needing more organization daily as well as hourly.

The most exciting time of the year is here: Planner season! Of course, I noticed the planner sneak peeks on the Erin Condren website as well as the bonus items with pre-orders. It didn’t take much for me to decide to purchase a 2017/2018 planner in the hourly layout early! Plus a few accessories with the highfive coupon. Just from looking at the hourly planners, I see how it will give more structure in planning my days.

Below is a comparison of the vertical and hourly layouts:

I love the new paper, vibrant colors, and painted petals design this year! I will post a more detailed review regarding these points as well as comparing a few of the new accessories.

Also, what would you like to know about the new planner? Or do you have any suggestions for my upcoming detailed review?

This is an un-bias review. All items were purchased on my own. This post contains referral links.

Birchbox: A Short Review

I was watching my tracking number patiently hoping it would show up in my mailbox. Then one cloudy day, it had arrived. A little ray of sunshine in my day.

For the past several months, I was reading reviews about a variety of subscription boxes and similar to many others decided I wanted to try it out. I was most interested in Birchbox because of the variety of products they offered for just $10 a month. They offer samples of skincare, makeup, perfume, and other great beauty products in a lovely decorative box. I was also interested in the chance to review the products and receive points for each review to use in the shop.

Setting up my profile was easy just a few questions about my skin routine and beauty preferences; I was registered. I had joined in March and received the March box as my first box.

March Box
March Birchbox

In my March Birchbox:

Beautiful Nutrition: Healthy Hair Diet Shampoo & Conditioner

Benefit Cosmetics: POREfessional instant wipeout pore cleansing mask & mattifying gel

Cargo: Land Down Under Eye Shadow Palette

Milk Makeup: Lip Color – C.R.E.A.M

April Box
April Birchbox

In my April Birchbox:

Beauty Protector: Protect & Detangle

Burt’s Bees: Tinted Lip Balm – Sweet Violet

rms beauty: The ultimate makeup remover wipes

Vasanti: BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator

W3LL PEOPLE: Expressionist Mascara

A 20% off gift code for Rifle Paper Co.

There was one item from each box that I enjoyed the most. In the March box, The Cargo: Land Down Under Eye Shadow Palette sample was my favorite item, and I still use it. In the April box,  the Vasanti: BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator was my favorite item, and it works so well. It was a great exfoliating facial scrub, and it helped with the leftover acne scarring on my face. I am even considering buying the larger bottle of the face scrub.

After receiving the April box, I decided to deactivate my subscription. While the boxes had some great samples in them, I decided I would prefer a box with a few more brand names. Overall, I think Birchbox is a great company with wonderful products. If you are looking for a subscription box that is easy to sign up for and receive quickly, this is the box for you!

I will probably return to Birchbox to do some shopping in the future with the points I have received from product reviews. For now, I am looking into other subscription box options.
